I find this picture portrays a lot of dreams I have for the future that many people wouldn't expect. These include traveling, walking up the CN tower and putting and end to world hunger. I don't tend to dwell on the past because you never know what tomorrow will bring. I included brushes of clocks to show that hope I see in the future. I love playing cards, but in this image they have a double meaning. The second is that you can pick the hand you`re dealt in life, but you definitely decide how you play your cards. When I was younger I wanted to play guitar for the kids at London`s Children Hospital, but I quit lessons and really want to start again when I have time. Also, I like to consider myself a capable artist, but many people would find that surprising because I don't show that side of myself to everyone. I've recently discovered I enjoy the emotion I can show through painting which is why I am painting in this picture. When I look at water I can get a lot of emotion so I put the paintbrush making a drop of water. The trees are to represent stability and growth. I love being there for other people and in order to help them through their problems I have to be stable. I never plan on growing up completely, staying a kid forever would be great, but right now I'm making decisions where I feel like I`m growing up quickly. There are many sides of me people don`t know about yet but hopefully they will soon :)
What aspect of your image do you feel is most successful and why
I like how the images completely fill up the picture so there are no blank areas your eyes are drawn to. Also I like that your eye moves around the page with the angles of the images.
What aspect of your image to you feel is least successful and why
I find the image kind of bland because of the lack of contrast, and the amount of blue I used.
If you could do this project again, what changes would you make to improve it
I would increase the contrast and amount of orange or another colour. I would like to have put more thought into my images so their purpose was not as clear, but that's not the picture itself as much as the thought behind it. Some areas of the picture look sharp and bold which draw my eye away from others so I`d work on overall balance.
